How tuition works

What sets your membership, what it covers and how to end it.

  • What sets tuition

Your membership depends on who is training (an adult, or a teen from 13 to 17) and how many classes a week. The figures are on our enrollment page and at your first class, in writing, before you agree to anything.

    • Adult or teen plan

    • Classes a week

    • Striking, grappling or both

  • Registration

A joining fee, when we charge one, covers your enrollment file and a gear check with a coach. It is due when you sign up, and the amount is on the enrollment page.

  • Holding a place

A place in a teens' class is held once your first month is set up. When a class is full, you join its waitlist and we offer places by text, in the order people asked.

  • Billing

Monthly, collected automatically on the day you choose through our members' portal. To change a card or a day, send the front desk a message.

  • Help with tuition

Ask us about a payment plan, or whether assistance is open this month. We talk it over in person and it never changes which classes you can take.

  • Withdrawing

Adult plans run 12 months, then month to month; teen plans are month to month. To cancel, write to us with 30 days' notice, by email or at the front desk. The month in progress is billed. We can pause a plan for orders, deployment, travel or injury; ask before you go.

  • Missed classes and make-ups

If you miss a class, come to another class at your level the same week. There is no make-up to book.

  • Uniforms, costumes and other costs

Hand wraps, gloves, shin guards and other gear are bought separately, as are seminars and event entries, and each is priced on the enrollment page. Ask at your first class what you need and what you can borrow.
